summary of me

My name is Rachel Fox, was born and raised in a military family. I have two younger brothers, Spencer (21), and Matthew (18). I had moved 18 by the time I came to college. I was born in La Mesa California, from there I moved back and forth between Germany, Georgia, Colorado, Texas, and Idaho.

This is my 7th semester at BYU-Idaho and I will be graduating in April receiving a bachelor’s degree in recreational management with an emphasis in child development and home and family studies. I plan on using my degree to help children and families in the outdoors helping them to grow physically, mentally, and spiritually. I have been involved in many different activities and programs here on campus. Some of which are outdoor activities (kayaking, rafting, rock climbing, bouldering, canoeing, exc.) rec. sports (ultimate Frisbee competition, capture the flag, battle ship, exc.), competitive sports (swim team, ultimate Frisbee, flag football, exc.), and adaptive activities (wheel chair basketball, adaptive bowling, Special Olympics, exc.). I have also done 2 internships one for the Idaho departments of parks and recreation where I was working at a ghost town along with a visitor’s center, and one at the Blackfoot swimming pool.

My favorite thing in the world to do is playing in the water. If you think that it can be done in the water then I will try it.
