We bought a House!!

Yep it took over a month but we are finally home owners of our very own townhouse! We are so very excited about it and completely worn out. We haven't even been able to really move in (all of our stuff is in the garage) because we have been painting.
bought
All of these pics are before I will up date an after when all the rooms are painted-

We have painted the living room

and our bedroom.

Next the kitchen (no pic) and the bathrooms.

this is the full bath up stairs.

So the living room is now a light sandy color instead of baby blue, and our bedroom is bubble gum pink. The pink is a big woops it was supposed to be a very light pink but once in there it is not. So since we painted all of the walls we have decided to make 2 of them white again so it is not overwhelming. We will make it work no matter what.

Thank goodness Terrance is a good sport and I have learned my lesson that I should never pick colors even in general.

The way we got such a pink room was I said "I want a pink room, maybe a white with a tint of pink". But T being the "go big or go home" type of attitude decided on a more bolder pink that we both thought was a lot more mellow then it turned out to be. lol

So we have learned a lot so far and are having a ton of fun along the way.

Graduation

Terrance graduated July 22nd it was a great day and a ton of fun so see everyone and celebrate together. We went to Fongs afterward to have some yummy Chinese food.

The quilt top

So you think that a simple square quilt would be simple. I learned that it is not. I had to unstich and restich so many times I wouldn't even be able to guess how many times i did it. I had to do this because some of the squares didn't match up and I really wanted them too. It was worth the work but I definitely learned a lot. This is how the top turned out and eventually I will get around to putting a back on it and deciding how I want to quilt it.

Veil

I made a veil for my cousin who is getting married on Sept 17th. We are so excited for her and her fiance so this is how it turned out.

My mom and me found some fabric.

cut it out to the desired 2 tier shape

then sewed on the hair comb.

And lastly I spent about 3 days sewing on the beads to complete the look.

So there is the out come a pretty veil for a pretty girl.

I hope she likes it.

New hair styles

I discovered a new hair style that I really like except that it is only bobby pins holding it together and my hair+bobby pins= hair falling out very quickly. But here it is, it lasted a few hours.

The pics aren't that great but it is really hard to take a pic of the back of your own head. it took about 15 shots before I got it all in one frame. lol but it was fun

Next one is just simple 2 braids the day after when I took them out.

The last one was an experiment for sure it is a frencd braid with a bun at the end.

Yeah to hair!

I think it is going to be blog day!!!! part 1

I have been doing a lot but not blogging a lot so today is going to be my catch up day I think, unless i get distracted by something else, but hopefully I get a couple in before that happens.
